Competitive cheer squads from different schools compete against each other for trophies and bragging rights. Their two and a half minutes cheer routines include jumps, stunts, dance, and tumbling. Pom-poms, sidelines, and megaphones are all used as squads are judged by a panel of experts on the difficulty and execution of their routines.

Allstar cheerleaders, however, are not affiliated with a school, so their entertainment and music routines do not include actual cheering. Watch this video as it explains the competitive cheer differences.
